What this policy covers

Notedge is operated by Denys Kolosovskyy. This Privacy Policy explains how Notedge handles information when you use the website and app. Notedge is a personal knowledge library for sources you choose to save.

Information we collect

• Account information such as email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and session data.
• Saved content you provide, including URLs, uploaded documents, extracted transcripts, summaries, notes, projects, chat questions, and chat answers.
• Technical and diagnostic data such as device/browser information, app events, error reports, IP-derived security information, and request logs.

How we use information

• To authenticate you and operate your personal Notedge library.
• To capture sources, extract readable content, generate summaries and key points, create embeddings, answer questions, and provide citations.
• To maintain reliability, detect abuse, debug errors, measure product usage, and improve the app experience.
• To communicate important service, privacy, security, or support updates.

AI processing

Notedge does not sell your content or use it to train a Notedge-owned AI model. To provide AI features, relevant parts of your saved content may be sent to service providers for summarization, OCR, transcription, embeddings, and answers.

Service providers

Notedge uses third-party services to run the product. Current providers may include Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, storage, database, and backend infrastructure; Vercel for web hosting; OpenAI and OpenRouter with its routed model-hosting providers for AI processing; Deepgram for audio transcription; Tavily for web search features; PostHog for product analytics; Sentry for error monitoring; Stripe for payment processing and billing records; Resend for support email processing when enabled; and network/proxy infrastructure used to make public-source capture more reliable.

Data storage and security

Saved cards are stored as private Markdown-backed records and uploaded assets are stored privately. For launch, document uploads are limited to supported file types and macro-enabled Office files are blocked; Notedge does not execute uploaded files. We use access controls and operational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security. Keep your account credentials safe and contact support if you suspect unauthorized access.

Cookies and analytics

Notedge uses cookies or similar storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. Product analytics uses pseudonymous identifiers and a limited set of feature-use events. Session recording and automatic page/click capture are disabled. Saved content, questions, answers, page URLs, and email addresses are excluded from analytics events. Diagnostic reports omit free-form error messages and request data. You can block browser storage, but some app features may stop working.

Export and deletion

You can download a full active-library backup from Settings. You can permanently delete cards in the app and delete your full Notedge account from Settings. Deleted data may remain in restricted recovery backups for their configured retention periods. Billing records may be retained by payment providers for legal and accounting obligations. Contact support for requests involving support correspondence or service-provider records.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal data. To make a privacy request, email support@notedge.app from your account email.
